Folie into Building Concept Final

The original concept for the folie was a garden based on the Brisbane river serpant story. This concept was not accepted by the group, but I felt it was a good form to base not onlt the folie but the design studio for 100 students.  The form takes on a familar shape of a boonarang.  This shape looks like something that could be have been used to form the cliffs above the wharves.  As the images below show, the concept takes on a more useable and fluid form which will become the basis for the final design outcome.
A more fluid concept based off the double boomarang images above

Concept with a second level interacting with the lower levels

The roof material could be likend to the skin of a snake or serpant

The inside space was taken from the Folie idea, which had a garden central to the form.  This will provide an outdoor space for students to re-connect with nature during their design sessions.

The design centre will provide individual spaces for students and a more public exhibition area
