Session 1_Brainstorming

Several concepts were expanded on during the 3 hour session.  What was evident that there needed to be a reason for the "Folie".  How could we create something that would draw people to the site, just to see a 5m x 5m x 5m form.

- One idea was to suspend the Folie on the cliff face, to connect the architectural form to the natural environment.

- The idea of a platform which would be above the site adjacent to Bowen tce, seemed pointless and there was ample view from the park towards the story bridge.

-  One strong idea was to tell a story, of indiginous importantance, and link this with a fun/educational experience.

- the hardest idea to formulate was how to create a form that serves to interact with the exisitng site and inspire, educate and enterain those that touch, see, hear and feel the Folie.

The final three ideas we decided to explore though sketches was the idea of a garden - an educatinal experience.  A puzzle - involving music, light and shifting of blocks.  The final concept was a slide, but not just something to transverse levels, but an idea to experience the site and folie through a differing scope.

Each of the four group members were tasked to come up with at least tow ideas over the week.  Below are the two ideas created using the concepts we had discussed-
